SOTM Blog Hop
Welcome to the August 2009 Blog Hop and "thanks" for stopping by. There are 60+ of us this month sharing our love of stamping, scrapbooking and Close To My Heart products.
If you came here from Jamia's blog you are on the right path.I do want to apologize for the 'chingy' pictures this month, my poor camera is just about on its' last click.
This months CTMH stamp of the month is "It's Your Day" - D1352. There are 25 individual stamps in this set. This a very versatile stamp set for birthday and anniversary cards, invitations of all descriptions, package tags and not to mention awesome scrapbook embellishments. The retail price is $22.95, but wait...contact me and let me tell you how to get it for FREE or at discount price.

This month I chose a tri-fold card base using our wonderful CTMH white core cardstock in the color of Juniper. It is a 4.25 x 5.5 A2 size card and fits well in an A2 envelope. There actually five panels to use in this card, but I chose to adhere the first 2 to cover my brad backs. You could also use the entire back of the card for five additional panels if you liked. Please contact me if you have any questions about making this card.

Techniques used in this card were watermarking, dry embossing, edge inking and heat embossing and sanding.

Cardstock colors used were Juniper, White Daisy and Colonial White. Inks used were Juniper, Sorbet and Versamark

Other products and tools used were paper from the Perfect Day paper pack, White Daisy embossing powder and grosgrain 3/8" ribbon, clear sparkles, 3-d foam tape, Tombow adheasive, Sorbet mini brads, sanding block and piercing tool and heat gun.

The front and back edges of the card were watermarked. Each layer of the cake was heat embossed and attached with foam strips. The "happy" was adhered with brads and the "birthday" was attached with foam strips also. There is lots of dimensions to this card.
The stripes on this panel were done with dry embossing as well as the belly band that holds the card together and then sanded with sanding block.
